How we help β€” and how we don't

We'd rather over-explain this than have you misunderstand it.

What Cape2Canada is

Cape2Canada, operated by Cape2Canada of Vancouver, BC, publishes general information about moving from South Africa to Canada and offers paid relocation planning sessions. Planning sessions cover things like document sequencing, budgeting, timelines, logistics, and settling in β€” the project management of a big move.

What Cape2Canada is not

Under section 91 of Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, only licensed members of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (RCICs), Canadian lawyers and notaries, and certain other authorized persons may provide Canadian immigration advice or representation for a fee. We are not licensed, and we do not provide those services. Specifically, we do not:

  • assess or advise on your eligibility for any immigration program;
  • complete, review, or submit application forms on your behalf;
  • communicate with IRCC for you or represent you in any proceeding;
  • guarantee, predict, or influence the outcome of any application.

If a session touches a question that requires licensed advice, we will tell you so and refer you to the official public register of licensed consultants maintained by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (college-ic.ca), or suggest you consult a Canadian immigration lawyer.

About the information on this site

Guides are general information, provided in good faith, and can become outdated as programs, fees and rules change β€” sometimes overnight. Always verify current requirements, fees and processing times on the official IRCC website (canada.ca) before acting. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, or immigration advice, and reading it does not create a professional relationship with Cape2Canada

A note on scams

South Africans are heavily targeted by immigration and job-offer scams. No legitimate party can guarantee you a visa, a job, or "priority processing." IRCC decisions are made only by IRCC. If someone promises otherwise β€” walk away.
