It operates Monday to Thursday 08:00–15:00 and Friday 08:00–12:00, and fees are charged by age band: R1,300 for under-11s, R2,000 for ages 11 to 15, and R2,600 for 15 and older, paid by EFT in advance. That’s the kind of specific, checkable detail worth having, rather than a list we can’t stand behind.
If you’re a long way from Gauteng
If you’re not based in or near Gauteng, this is worth planning around rather than discovering at the last minute. A confirmed clinic option sits in Pretoria; whether something closer exists near you depends entirely on the current IRCC search results for your area, which change over time. Applicants from smaller centres — the Eastern Cape, Limpopo, the Northern Cape — should expect to factor in a trip, and book with enough lead time that a full day of travel doesn’t collide with the appointment slot itself.
What this means for how you plan
Two things worth separating: the country only has two official Canada visa application centres, in Cape Town and Pretoria, for biometrics — a different appointment entirely from the medical exam, and not necessarily in the same building or even the same city as your panel physician. Don’t assume the two errands can be combined into one trip without checking both locations specifically.
Verify the actual list of currently designated doctors through IRCC’s own search tool before you book anything, rather than trusting a name that’s been circulating online since 2018. That single step avoids the single most common version of this going wrong.
